Organic Chickpeas

Organic Chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) are a perfect protein for vegetarian curries, hummus, falafel, wraps, and other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Chickpeas are a good source of iron, fiber and potassium, too!



Ingredients: Organic Dried Chickpeas

Cooking Instructions 

  1. Soak 1 cup chickpeas in 3 cups water for at least 8 hours
  2. Drain and rinse
  3. Add chickpeas and 3 cups fresh water or stock to a medium pot
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or to desired doneness
  5. Add liquid as needed to keep chickpeas submerged during cooking
  6. Drain and season as desired
