Organic Black Beans

Dense and earthy Organic Black Beans are a staple in our pantries because they go with so many types of cuisines. Make a large batch and freeze them in smaller portions until needed! Black beans are low in fat, high in fiber, and contain protein, calcium and other vital nutrients.


Ingredients: Organic Dried Black Beans

Cooking Instructions 

  1. Soak 1 cup black beans in 3 cups water for at least 8 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse
  3. Add the beans the 3 cups fresh water or stock to a medium pot
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours
  5. Leave uncovered for firmer beans or partially covered for creamier beans
  6. Add liquid as needed to keep beans submerged throughout cooking time
  7. Drain, and season as desired
